Account Reconciliation Pull R-Doc Question

Does anyone know if when you Pull R-Doc data forward such as spreadsheets, if it is just linked to the original file or it makes another copy? Trying to determine if this is taking up more storage space.

Hi @meredithf - when you pull R-Docs forward, it is duplicating the document and hence would take up additional storage space.

Thanks,

Heather

Hi @HeatherB_eCap - Does the "Pull R-Doc" pull the R-Doc forward every single month once it has been clicked on.  (Is that what this sentence from the documentation mean) - Pull R-Doc: Pulls the documents forward from the prior period depending on the frequency of reconciliation

Example:  A user has prior month R-Docs showing up in the current month but did not click on the Pull R-Doc this month.

Thanks

Hi Sue,

The Pull R-Doc button only impacts that particular reconciliation. It doesn't set any sort of flag to continue pulling R-Docs forward in subsequent months. The auto reconciliation process, however, may be pulling R-Docs forward. If you see a pulled forward R-Doc on a reconciliation, I would check to see if there is any auto reconciliation rule on it. If so, that is likely the reason. Hope that helps!

Thanks

Heather

Hi Heather,

Thank you, that appears to be what is happening.  We will have to adjust a process to alleviate this from happening.  Thanks again!

Sue

You’re welcome!
