People planning - Add Register field

Hi,

our client would like to have in the Register a number of fields that exceed the 45 Register fields available in the market place solution.

 

Has any of you already tried adding new Register fields to the Register fields list? The Register fields seem to be stored in the XFW_PLP_ControlListItems table, but I am not sure about the consequences of editing that table and if I would have to change any other table or rule. Is there something I need to be aware of from your experience if I decide to proceed with the change?

Don't do it, it not only affects the register, but it will have an impact on the calc engine as well.

I would suggest, that you work with another status types like:  'other information' instead, to collect the required information.

The 50 columns limitation is due to the sql table editor's  limitation to 50 format-able columns, so just adding a column to the filed list won't work.

I never thought about the Status as a way of having additional fields for an employee row, but that is indeed a simple and smart solution. Thank you!
