Excel Spreadsheet Component Annoying Popup
Hi All,
We are using a spreadsheet component on a dashboard to show a cubeview. When we enter text into an annotation field, it works fine and you just have to hit save afterwards for the data to be committed to the cell. However, if we want to attach a file to the cell, once we do that and click ok, we are prompted with a message box that says "Do you want to refresh OneStream data? All unsaved changes will be lost". Regardless, of whether we say yes or no, the file still gets attached.
Is there anyway to disable this prompt as it really doesn't offer any value to us? Is this out-of-the-box functionality?
Thx,
Mike
Mike,
This same behavior would be observed if you added a Cube view to an Excel Spreadsheet with the OneStream Excel Add-in and then added an annotation attachment to a cell in the cube view. It prompts to refresh the sheet and if you choose Yes it will refresh and prompt the user for parameter selections, if you say no, it does not refresh the workbook following the attachment being added.
There is currently not a Preference that drives this in the OneStream Add-In Settings.
If you Refresh it will show the new Triangle on the cell to denote that it has attachments.
If you do not refresh, it will not show the Triangle on the cell to denote that it has attachments.
