User's Culture

Hi all,

it's not clear to me the meaning of the Culture field in User's configuration.

I thought that changing the culture (eg: from English to Italian) would change all the "core" labels of OneStream (I mean menu options, labels, etc...).

Instead, looks like that everything keep on being presented in English.

Is this right or my (local) installation is missing some package/configuration ?

Thanks

  • As you have said the core labels of the application is only in English so things like the menu items do not change. User culture is used when you enter descriptions for metadata members in another language. Other aspects of the application such as Cube View descriptions do not have a built-in method for entering other languages. This is where you can use XFStrings to display text in the user's selected language. The only area where you cannot show text in another language is Certification questions.
