Center headers within a cell (After 8.2 release)

Hi team, my client was excited to upgrade to 8.2 to center headers. After turning on this functionality, what we have found is below. Can you tell me if I'm missing a setting here to make it work lik...

I'm struggling to also get the new feature to work.  What you have above already worked like that before 8.2 for me.  I'm not sure what they intended to happen, but I can't get anything different from what I had before.  The documentation is very poor on it.
