Xlookup not working in OS-Spreadsheets

We have several excel sheets with XLOOKUP formula. In application-spreadsheet (v6.8 and V8.4) this is not working. Whereas it is working in MS-excel.
Is this possible in OS-spreadsheet?

It isn't unfortunately (not in 8.5 either). What is wrong with the workaround you mentioned? We did that for 20 (30?) years!
I guess your only other option is to use the Excel add-in rather than the built in spreadsheet.
