I thought I'd loop back around and tell folks what I found out after going from forum to CSM to technical support ticket 😊

Luke from UK support confirmed to me that if OneStream SaaS systems are in the same Azure region then communication between the OneStream SaaS systems e.g. REST API calls should route via the Azure backbone.

Traffic like this exits a NAT gateway and it should then automagically route internally via the Azure backbone network using private IP routing without heading out on to the internet.

So basically, yup this is doable with a minimum of fuss as long as both systems are in the same region 🥳
