Default WF Period

Does anyone have a solution to having the workflow period default to the global time? It's a minor annoyance, but for those switching workflow profiles often, it's annoying that it just always defaults back to Jan, and then you have switch to the current period. I understand that not all workflows are set monthly, but if your scenario Input frequency is monthly, it would be nice if it could read of the global time as the default period it goes to, versus just going back to a locked period.
