Hi,
The clear button in the past only cleared stage data and did not clear the cube data. Only when loading a new file did the load process clear the data unit from the previous file if that same data unit exists on the new file. You can also clear all imported data by right clicking on the period in which you want to clear and select the "clear all 'import' data from cube" selection.
That being said, I would look at that processing log to see why you are getting the error you are receiving when reloading a file as it seems to be an issue with the file and not the clear itself. Hope this helps.
