Smart Integration Connector

Can someone please guide me to any useful document or link on Smart Integration Connector ?

    There is a course available on SIC in OneStream Navigator. It's a self-paced course which takes around 5 hours to complete. It provides in-depth knowledge on set up, installation and configuration of SIC.

    Would this work to be able to connect to an on prem Rest API Service?  For example, a client has an on prem Rest API we want to get data from to load to OS.
