XFSet Cell Functionality

Hi,

Two questions related to XFSet Cell:

1. Is there any audit trail to see who entered data via XF Set Cell?
2. Is there any functionality where we can restrict specific users from entering data just into XFSetCell but allow them to enter data via other modes like Forms, etc.?

This is OneStream 😎 we know you like audits, so we put some audit in your audit... check the standard Application Reports for this bad boy:

XfSetCell actions will appear in the .Manual sections.

If you don't like the report structure or you want some more focused query, you can tweak it in Dashboards.

I'm not very good at that, but...

I know you can secure access by Origin member, so if you know all your spreadsheets target, say, AdjInput, you can block specific users from that member (in Cubes -> your Cube -> Data Access).

You can also remove access to the Spreadsheet page (from Application -> Security Roles), so if users only access spreadsheets through the Windows App, they won't be able to create custom ones, but only use the available Forms through the Workflow.

Beyond that, you could probably enforce anything you want by writing an Event Handler.
