Accessing external DB data via SQL Table Editor
Hi, I am unable to access external database view via sql table editor in the Cloud OneStream (version 8.2). Can somebody suggest what can be the possible issues? It is working fine when accessing the current app database but only issue is when accessing external database. The external connections are fine as able to access the data via data adapters.
Input form for Project planning
Hi, I want to build an input form for project planning where the projects are defined in UD1 dimension, but for the rest of the columns (Start date, End Date, and Contact type) there is no dimension defined. How can i build a input form via cube view if there is no dimension defined in Onestream. But Clinet wants to input the columns data (Start date, End Date and Contact type), in the system via form.
Form Input disappeared
Hello, I have this strange situation where information was entered with form input and for 1 of the entities the data disappeared on several accounts. This is in a scenario type1 scenario. When information is entered again the old values can be found with Audit history for Forms from the drilldown. Any idea how this can happen, I would expect it only after a reset scenario, but that would remove also data for other entities, could also be by removing the entries, but there are several different forms, so that seems unlikely. kind regards Ben
Capital and People Register migration from Dev to Prod
Hi, I am new to the OneStream. We have installed the Capital and People registers in our Dev environment and customized it as per our requirements. Now we are completed our development and are thinking of the ways to move the work to Prod. How do we migrate these registers along with customizations (rename the columns etc.) from Dev to Prod? What are different ways to move the registers from one environment to another?Copy data to Derived Cell status
I am trying to build a rule to copy data from one year/Forecast Scenario to another e.g Long term and have req to copy data to derived cell value but dont want data to be enable for input. Is there way to copy data? I tried DM job and Custom finance rule but it did not work.
24 Month PLP Dataset - Import to cube
Hello All, We have setup People Planning for 24 periods. We need to import the data into a cube across 2 years/24 months. Wondering the best approach. We have flagged Allow Loads After Workflow View Year as "True". We have tried using "Range" in the Workflow Tracking Frequency. This approach works, but the fact that we can't change time periods in the Scenario, creates some monthly and annual process management issues. Anybody use an alternative approach? Thanks, Scott
