Dependent parameters in a spreadsheet having cube view connection
Hi All, We have a technical blocker for one of the report in our planning application. This report has UD2, UD3 and account as parameters. On the dashboard, this report appears fine when user seamlessly selects the parameters from the interface. There is some dependency between these user selection options which is handled through XFBR rule. For a specific UD3 member, a certain list of UD2 members will appear for selection, for another UD3 member a different set of UD2 members will show up and so on. We have the same report available as an offline report having the same cube view connection. In the spreadsheet, this dependence is causing a blocker and parameter pop up for UD2 appears blank showing no options for user to select values. Kindly guide us on how this dependence of parameters can be handled in the spreadsheet having the same cube view connection.1.6KViews2likes2CommentsUnable to open shared Cube View
Hello, We are trying to use row and column templates in a Cube View but are using parameters to populate the names of those row and column template cube views. We get the below error and are curious what else could be issue as we have checked values of parameters and they are pulling in values expected (names of templates). Thanks!5.9KViews1like10CommentsNarrative Reporting Parameters
I'm currently using the Narrative Reporting MarketPlace Solution on OS version 8.4 and have successfully integrated Cube Views, Content, and other artifacts using QuickParts. However, I'm facing several challenges: Member Prompts on Report Checkout/Edits: Despite configuring parameters at both the report and report group levels, I continue to receive member prompts from the cube view every time I check out or modify a report. This differs from the expected behavior in guided reporting and dashboards, where parameters are supplied automatically. Is this expected, or is there a workaround to prevent these prompts?68Views1like1CommentGuided Reporting - Multiple Extensible Hierarchy Selection - List Selector Error
I have a Cube View report in Guided Reporting where the user needs to be able to select from anywhere inside of the following three hierarchies. The hierarchies contain extensibility. I am running into an issue where the hierarchies are not appearing correctly, and member are missing in the 'List Selector' on Guided Reporting. I created my parameter to pull the tree views of all three entity hierarchies. I have confirmed that the Cube View parameter selection shows up as expected. When I try to select Entity in Guided Reporting, I see the following: The only items that are showing under the tree views are the members that do not have any extensibility. Output is showing its children, but it is not collapsable to the parent. If I switch the order over the tree views in the parameter, whichever is the last one listed has its members listed out like Output does in the screenshot. I have tried multiple different ways to write the parameter out and have been unsuccessful. Has anyone else experience this issue? Is there any way to get the hierarchies to display correctly? I am having trouble since the code behind Guided Reporting is locked by OneStream. Thank you!65Views1like4CommentsCustomize Dimension Filter based on Fiscal Year Period
SOURCE: ONESTREAM CHAMPIONS Hi Team, we have a situation in which we need to create a new dimension every month, and can obsolete the earlier one for the next period, that works perfect. no Issue here. but since they share the common workflow, in the Entity Filters both the old Dimension and New Dimension are appearing. Expectation here is to get Display on the New dimension in the current period and only the old dimension in the previous filter ( Refer screen shot for more clarity ) Since the filter is based on Entity calculations, not sure what’s the solution to achieve the same. I need some inputs to get the filter dynamically listed based on the Year / Period we choose. Hello, my team and I have encountered the following unexpected behavior: District Loan Detail Dashboard On the initial display of this screen when we click "Run Drill-down" button, the 2 parameters from the Cube View do not get passed into the Business Rule correctly. As shown below in the error message: It passed in GRP_16 which was from the previous "Run Drill-down" process, instead of the selected row's value of GRP_26 (UD7: "26 - Principal", Flow: "EndBalLoad"). So on initial display, clicking on the first row, which is already selected, does nothing and passes the incorrect (previous) values from the cube view. I have to click on a different row and then back to the first row to get the correct parameter values passed to the Business Rule. If only one row is in the cube view I will never be able to return the correct results because it is passing the incorrect value. This issue has been present ever since we upgraded to version 7.3.3 from version 6.4.0. We appreciate your help, Cruz Vega102Views1like1CommentParameterize dimensions in Business Rule and then in cell format of the CV
Hello!! I am trying to parameterize all the dimensions within a business rule. I am doing this because I want to use that business rule in the cell format of a cube view to make it dynamic. If passing the rule parameters within the cell format of the cube view works, I will include an image: However, when passing the parameter in the cell format of the business rule, the statement is not working: The parameter is created as a literal value type. Could it be that it's not working because of the |CV|? Attached is an image of the parameter. I hope someone knows how to solve this. Thank you in advance :))489Views1like1CommentNested parameters to return one value
I am building a report that uses a nested parameter. This report will run on a dashboard within Guided Reporting if it makes any difference. My parameters are Member List types. EntityParam1 uses a member filter of E#Corporate.ChildrenInclusive. This is controlled by a combo box on the dashboard. Let's pretend the user selects E#Legal as the value for the combo box, one of the children of E#Corporate. EntityParam2 has a member filter of |!EntityParam1!|.ChildrenInclusive.Children The member filter I want it to return is E#Legal.ChildrenInclusive.Children When I run this nested parameter, it runs E#Corporate.ChildrenInclusive.ChildrenInclusive.Children, which throws an error at some point. How can I use EntityParam1 to only return the E#Legal member for my nested filter? I would think the answer lies within a literal parameter but haven't found a method that automatically uses the selected value of my first parameter. Thanks in advance.495Views1like2Comments
