Is the Excel add-in backwards compatible?

I'm starting to plan for upgrading our OneStream dev environment from 6.2 up to 7.0.  Part of the testing will have to involve the Excel add-in.  If I uninstall the 6.2 add-in, and install the 7.0 ...

    No the Excel add-in is only 1:1 for the versions, so no backward compatibility exist yet.
    I have asked about this before, so please add an support ticket and create an enhancement request for this.
    (The windows app can be installed in parallel from version 7.0.1: tested with v6.4 and v7.0 with manual installation exe and msi package )
