Hello, Is there a way to give access to a user to modify a specific member on the metadata (specific scenario) without assigning them to the group of manage metadata ? thanks,
There isn't an out of the box way to give access to just update one member. If you wanted to give access to update only a single dimension, that would be possible - but since they would have manage access to the dimension, without building some type of custom event handler that prohibits the action - it would not be possible.
I recommend looking into installing Application Control Manager (ACM), which gives a controlled way to manage and maintain metadata with approval flow. With this, you could configure the customization you are looking forward using a custom flow and not need to build custom scripts.
