Stopping a dimension from automatically collapsing

I am having to build a lot of alternate hierarchy for external reporting, so I am going and building relationships with our main hierarchy. The problem I am getting into is every time I search for an account (example), OS collapses the hierarchy path where I need to "paste relationship", so I have to reopen it every time, and with a few levels to open, it is getting incredibly tedious. Anyone knows how to stop OS from automatically collapsing hierarchies?

  • Vincent,

From a manual process, I do not believe there is a way for the hierarchy to not collapse each time.

Instead of manually adding several relationships to the point of it becoming too tedious, you can utilize OneStream's Excel Metadata Builder on the Solution Exchange. Simply enter child and parent names in the relationships section of the builder as well aggregation weights. Uploading this XML will add any relationships at a bulk level instead of the tedious manual process you are describing.
