When we were in v8.4, our statutory reporting users who have discovered this function LOVED it a lot - without any stability issues. A function that takes them from their normal reporting spreadsheets to the application drilldown feature without logging in directly to the application client. It was a clear winner for these set of users since implementing OS. Now with v 9.2 and with this function randomly "unfeatured" - it will be tough sell.
SWWong - Have you implemented any work-arounds for users with the drilldown feature not functioning for GetValue formulas with cell references? We upgraded from 8.2 to 9.2 last week and are devastated to be learning about this now. Had asked to rollback to 8.2 but told that's not an option.

We are devastated too. There is no work around. The worse advice provided was to convert all our XFGETCELL formulas to explicit dimension members, instead of cell references. No accountant in the right mind would think that is ever a BEST practice solution in Excel, and definitely not a sustainable option for us.
In terms of the upgrade, this KNOWN issue was known in January but not listed as part of release notes. I have since found out that KNOWN issues are issues known before the version itself. KNOWN issues for the new release will be listed in the NEXT release notes. To me that is flawed because whilst the latest version appeared to have no KNOWN issues, but issues were already discovered, and the likes of us upgraded without knowing any of the discovered new KNOWN issues. I think they could have added to the release list for the latest version whenever they discover new bugs so that anyone choosing to upgrade are aware of what they are in for.
