Did you make it work? i am having the same issue with colums.
Yes we did, if I recall correctly it was that the parameters didn't have a default value set. So when it was opening up on dashboard, prior to parameter being selected it was essentially looking to column/row sharing of no value/nothing. Hope this makes sense!
Where do you set the default parameters? We have the same setup and the exact same issue (different CV name, but everything else is the same) with some users, but not all. I've been banging my head against the wall long enough that I'm starting to enjoy it.

We were never able to permanently resolve the issue with the version of Guided Reporting we were using at the time. We just had to click though it an eventually you got to a GR home screen that had all of your defaults sans the missing cube view (column set). We then had the user choose one and run a report. Because of the "sticky default" nature of GR, that solved the problem.
We haven't seen this behavior (yet) with the PV600 SV102 of Guided Reporting. We had to switch to it when we moved to the v8 platform. Beware however; if you use nested parameters in GR you will need to come up with a workaround. They are no longer supported in PV600.
