Workaround to manually remove all PFD in File viewer

I would like to know more about this workaround. In our company, some users utilize the PDF view option to send their reports, not only within the company but also for SOX controls. Therefore, it is important for us to continue using the PDF view in OneStream 7.4v.

Questions:

1. Does this workaround impact only dashboards, or does it also affect Cube View reports?
2. We have only been given the option to remove PDF. Is there a possibility of an upgrade to continue using PDF?
