I've never seen that error message. I'd start troubleshooting it with the following:
- Check the Workflow Profile configuration. What's in the Confirmation Rules? Do you have any Confirmation Dashboard Profile associated with it? Does this Dashboard exist?
- Go to the Confirmation Rules, open the referred rule, and then check the formula. Does this refer to a rule? Does that rule exist? I see cases where you instantiate a BR there. Maybe that BR in question was deleted? Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
