Great idea!  Developing developers adds resilience and comradery to our community.

What Ideas Do You Have for the Program?  Consider opening up to guest speakers and guest content content contributors.

How Do You Prefer to Learn?  For me its experience.  I like to take an example and work with it - bend it, change it, add to it, often even breaking it.  The most memorable experiences for me happen around troubleshooting why something isn't working and finding the fix - that feeling, the catharsis of victory seems to cement the experience.

Videos are helpful, though its when I engage my hands and right brain in doing that I start to take up the knowledge and own the concepts, e.g. lab-based exercises.

An online "Coding Playground" the compiles and runs OS Business Rule/Assembly code could be a way for people with less access to a running application to hone their skills, collaborate, and share.

      Hi there Robb!

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. It's great to hear your enthusiasm for developing developers and building a resilient community.

I appreciate your ideas for the program, especially the suggestion to include guest speakers and content contributors. It's always valuable to bring in diverse perspectives and expertise.

Your preferred learning method is interesting and resonates with many. Hands-on experience and troubleshooting can indeed create memorable and impactful learning moments. Videos and lab-based exercises are excellent tools for engaging both the mind and hands.

The concept of an online "Coding Playground" sounds fantastic. It could be a great way for individuals to practice, collaborate, and share their skills, especially for those with limited access to running applications.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! Looking forward to more great ideas from you.

Below are my thoughts and OneStream support will help the community grow further with large pool of OneStream resources.

    1. API/BRAPi Documentation with Examples - Apart from Finance Business Rules, other Business Rule category like Dashboard, Extensibility, Workspace Assemblies api/BRapis documentation is very limited to OneStreamers, it would be of great help if same will be provided as part of this program.
    2. Market Place Solutions - After Version 8 most of the updated marketplace solution codes are encrypted and this has created great difficulty to apply custom solution, availability of decrypted code will help developer community.
    3. Be it a Partner or Customer CoE teams providing detail documentation/trainings on Building Solutions with OneStream will help them create solutions that will cater business requirements with quick turnaround time
    4. The Community also has lots of non-coders and as OneStream requires VB.Net and SQL knowledge curating content in Navigator (not through Passport Subscription) will help them understand the required concepts and work on existing and new solution along with version upgrades and handle function that deprecated.
    5. Apart from OCP, OCA and OCS exams that provides credentials a Learning path in Navigator (not through Passport Subscription) that provides the flow on basic and advance OneStream concepts will help as OneStreamers can later go ahead and attend these exams, badges will be addon
    6. Opening up Partner Enablement Videos to Customers CoE teams will further benefit in growing the resource pool.

      Hi VishalPai_87,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions. I truly appreciate your engagement and detailed feedback on our community resources and documentation.

Your suggestions regarding the documentation of Business Rules APIs, making decrypted marketplace solution codes available, and curating content are incredibly valuable. I understand how these improvements could benefit the community, especially for non-coders or those needing a deeper understanding of OneStream concepts.

Our team will consider your ideas as we plan future enhancements to our Developer Education programs. Our goal is to continuously improve and provide resources that help our community grow and succeed.

Thank you again for your feedback and for being an active member of the OneStream community.  I look forward to hearing from you again.

      Best Regards,
