Yes, if you have >1 level in your hierarchy you would need to recursively iterate through your hierarchy to capture the parent/child relationships.  Your suggested approach above is one way of doing this.  The important thing here is that you are generating a truly unique 'uniqueName' for each XFTreeItem produced in your XFTreeItemCollection, to ensure it renders in the TreeView component at runtime.  Hope this helps
