I am trying to get security setup around nested dimensions. In the example below I want to have a user be able to have access to only be able to edit HL_Acct_Measures. I setup the security around the dimension property like below but when I assign that group to my test user it allows me to edit the Corp_Acct_Measures as well. Is this because the HL is inheriting the Corp accounts? Below are some screen shots of the setup.

The answer to this that if you give the user the access in the security role on the app tab to manage something then that will supersede the access group and maintenance group on the dimensions. So to fix my issue I needed to give my test user access only rights to the dimensions and not manage rights.
