We have a requirement to have daily backups for our applications for a period of 15 days. OneStream cloud offers point in time backups up to 7 days and only weekly backups past that period. I know how to back up artifacts/metadata in OneStream but not sure how to back up data. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to create a data back up?

As you've noted, your environment is hosted on the OneStream cloud (assuming it's managed by OneStream and not in a private cloud). Why do you require a backup beyond the seven-day point-in-time restore (PITR) or the weekly long-term retention (LTR) period?
The available restore options include:
- 7 days point-in-time restore (PITR) – allows recovery up to the minute, from now up to 7 days prior.
- 52 weeks long-term retention (LTR) – provides weekly backups from the most recent backup up to 52 weeks ago.
If you need a PITR beyond the 7-day window, I recommend raising a case with OneStream to inquire about extended PITR options. To my knowledge, they offer LTR extensions up to a maximum of 520 weeks with an additional fee, though this doesn't seem to apply to your case.
Please note, you cannot initiate the restoration yourself. You would need to submit a request through the support portal or service catalog, where you can choose from the available retention periods.
I hope this clarifies things. Please mark this response as "Accept the Solution" if it answers your question.
Thanks,

Off the top of my head:
- create a Data Management step to Export Data
- write a business rule to tidy up the 15 days of data somehow
- create a Data Management step that calls the above BR
- create a Data Management sequence that calls the Export Step then the BR
- schedule the Data Management sequence to execute every day.
