If you add a dropdown list to your column, you can type in the value and it will get you closer to what you want. I would suggest having the options sorted alphabetically.

The cube view will pull your ALL your data. Why do you want to split it out and then try to merge it back together? That seems like you would create more potential for data issues/risk.

You will need to have a third party tool like OpenXML. Not sure if OneStream supports this after version 8, or if there is a specific third party tool that OneStream utilizes for this support.
