Default Home Page for Users & OS Logo is an Actionable Event
Thought this was cool and wanted to share so others have the recipe. If you build a default landing Home Page for users upon login, this is where the XML sits for that Dashboard. Then, (I was thrilled) to discover this) once you have a default Dashboard set for users, the OneStream logo is now a clickable button! It returns you to your Home Page Dashboard.
Excell Add-Ins for Task Manager
Hello to everyone. Does anyone know how to build in Excel Add-ins for Task Manager? Our OneStream version is 8.2.2.16127? Guidance for this version provides the step-by-step instructions how to set up Add-ins for Word and PowerPoint, but not for Excel Add-ins. Our Task Manager version is PV800 SV100. If to be very specific, we are looking for the opportunity to install Excel Add-Ins to link the preparation status from excel file to particular task in Task Manager. For example, if we have the excel file somewhere outside OneStream (on Sharepoint), and when the work done inside this file, we can push built-in "Complete" button in this file. The completion status from this file automatically forces the change in the preparation status in Task Manager for this task, which is linked to this file through the action type functionality in Task Manager. Task Manager: Holidays
If a holiday falls within the duration of a closing period, is there a way to shift the Work Day (WD) due dates of the tasks for that Entity/Work Flow? For example, we have a Mexican Entity with a WD due date on WD 4. In May, there was a holiday on WD 1 (May 1st). In our business, the Mexican Entity's due date to submit financials would be extended to WD 5 because of the holiday. But since the due date did not fall on the actual holiday, the WorkDay due date in Task Manager still says WD4. Is there a work around for this other than manipulating the holidays and creating a "dummy holiday" on WD4 so that the due date will extend the extra day to WD5?
Automated User Provisioning: Best approach to sync Users & Security Groups?
Hi everyone, We need to automate user creation and security group assignments in OneStream using data from an external Identity system. I have two main questions: Is it feasible to fully automate this without manual intervention? What is the best way to implement it simply (avoiding heavy middleware)? We are considering two solutions: Just-in-Time (JIT) via OIS, and SCIM. Does anyone know how we can set these up? What is the recommended "standard" approach for this? Thanks for your help! Hi team, I'm trying to export data using a Data Management step with view filters. When I specify the view as V#Periodic,V#YTD, only V#Periodic data records is being extracted. If I reverse the order to V#YTD,V#Periodic, then only V#YTD data records get extracted. Has anyone faced this issue or knows how to correctly extract data with View dimension filters?
