Tips to Designate Dev vs Prod
SOURCE: ONESTREAM CHAMPIONS Does anyone have any tips or best practices to make it clearly visible when an admin is in Production vs. Development? Obviously next to user name we can see Production or Development, but other than that one word, they look identical. I’m thinking of something like a big red “DEV” logo at the top ribbon next to OneStream XF or something similar to that.9.5KViews0likes25CommentsAdding Cultures after Go-Live
Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had experience adding cultures to an applicaiton after go-live. Considering this is a system wide change its difficult to test without applying across all applications. I'm wondering if the statement in the attached screenshot "impact overall environment or application performance" would be applicable to adding new cultures. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Cheers!Solved4KViews0likes8CommentsIs it possible and if so, how to change the application language?
Hello, our client wants to have the option to use OneStrem in Turkish for some users. I know that using culture settings we can add descriptions for different languages to the members. What I am actually looking for to change the application language meaning the options buttons, anything on the user interface. Hi, I've been using a data management step (part of an archival sequence) to copy data between Scenarios and archive data. It has worked well in the past but now I'm getting below error when I run the step. "Error processing Data Management Step 'step_SeedForecastMonths'. Arithmetic overflow error converting numeric to data type numeric. The statement has been terminated. (SQL Error Number -2146232060, 8115, 3621)" Any ideas as to what would be causing this ? I verified the data and I seems like the copy did work for the period selected however the error message still pops up. Thanks in advance! Thought this was cool and wanted to share so others have the recipe. If you build a default landing Home Page for users upon login, this is where the XML sits for that Dashboard. Then, (I was thrilled) to discover this) once you have a default Dashboard set for users, the OneStream logo is now a clickable button! It returns you to your Home Page Dashboard.2.5KViews12likes5Comments"Cancelled by system" task status
Hi, we see some of our automated tasks cancelled by the system (e.g. task status = Cancelled by System in task activity) every now and again, and don't really understand why this occurs. Can someone shed some light on why this happens and how to prevent it? Thanks! AlexSolved2.3KViews0likes3CommentsOnestream access using Citrix/Virtual desktop
We are exploring pros and cons of enabling Onestream access to our global users using Citrix / Azure virtual environment. Primary reason are, to reduce the .net installation in individual desktops, control excel temples from a central team etc.. Could you please let us know if there any others who are using Onestream from a Citrix / centeral environment ? if yes, how is the performance impact of Onestream vs a normal desktop environment ? Do you have any learnings /feedbacks from their experience which you can share ? Any other items we should consider before taking this path of Citrix / Central Onestream access approach ? Thanks for your time and inputs.2.2KViews0likes3CommentsHow to create a formula that's specific to the base entities of a Parent
Hi OneStream Community - I'm trying to create a rule to apply a specific % to the base entities of a specific region. To keep it simple, say we have 5 regions and I want to create an account that takes their PBBIT and multiplies it by a % that is different for each region, and I want it to calculate it at the base entity level, of that region. Is this possible? Many thanks in advance!Solved2.2KViews0likes7CommentsSystem Announcement Feature on Login?
We have a requirement for ALL users that log in, to acknowledge a set of system messages before gaining access to the application. Other off the shelf applications have this capability built-in. If it does not exist in OneStream, would the best approach be to create a dashboard and make that the home page for all users?Solved2.2KViews0likes1Comment
