Adding Gross Profit as a Column in a Bar Graph (BI Viewer)
I was wondering if it's possible to include Gross Profit as a column in a bar graph in BI Viewer. Specifically, I want to calculate Gross Profit as the total Revenue minus Expense accounts and display it as a separate bar in the chart. I've tried using Calculated Fields, but I haven't been able to get the total to appear correctly in the visualization. Has anyone successfully done this in BI Viewer, and if so, what approach did you use? Any help would be greatly appreciated!11Views0likes2CommentsBI Viewer does not show Data After Initial Setup
Edit: Have determined that if I remove a column from the BI grid view and then replace it, data will populate the component again. Still don't have a reason or fix for the issue. Hello, I have a BI viewer that works fine in the initial setup/shows data pass through. I will run the BI in a dashboard once and it will also work correctly. If I run the dashboard again, it stops displaying data. I checked and my data adapter functions as expected, and if I delete the BI and make an identical version it will also work initially in the BI Viewer component once and the dashboard once. The viewer operates off of two combo box member lists, and I've confirmed that those update my dashboard data set rule when I refresh my dashboard. If anyone has any input on this situation it would be much appreciated.631Views0likes2CommentsEntity Drill Down BI Viewer
Hello, I'm learning to use BI Viewer, is there a way where I can drill down the entity dimension from region to base level? I've tried different expansions and I either get only regions or everything and when I try to drill down the region, it just gives me the region again and not the base entities that make up those entities. Has anyone been able to build a waterfall chart in BIViewer? I feel like this is something that I should be able to be done, but I can't find anything on it. Anyone know if this can be done? I know there is an advanced chart for waterfalls. ThanksSolved2.6KViews0likes3CommentsHow to make the column names dynamic in BI-Viewer pivot or Grid
Hello, I am facing a problem in making dynamic names for BI-viewer. I have a data adapter with Command type as Cube view. I am using this adapter in BI-viewer. I want to make the column names similar in cube view. For example, in my scenario I have columns changing according to the time. but here it will show as Col0Value, Col1Value. As per cube view headers, Col0 is 2024M1 and Col1 is 2024M2 and this will change according to time updated for next periods. It will not be same every time. How to get the same names as per cube view into BI-viewer column list.822Views2likes2CommentsBasic Question about BI Viewer and Cube View MD data source Column Expression
I have a Cube View with three Account dimension columns - Net_Rev, Std_Cost, and a CVC calculated division column to calculate Std_Margin (Std_Cost/Net_Rev). Rows are a UD dimension representing the Product. In my Dashboard, I have a Cube View MD Data Adapter using this Cube View as the data. When I add a BI Viewer Pivot Grid, I want to display the same three columns - Net_Rev, Std_Cost, and the calculated column. I see CalcScript in the Pivot Grid's Data Source dimensions. How do I use it in the Pivot Grid to display the calculation that the Cube View was doing for that third column? I thought I might reference it in the Value filter along with the two Accounts, but it doesn't appear as a column in the Pivot Grid.166Views0likes5CommentsHow to Create an End-User Editable Text Box in BI Viewer Accessible From OnePlace?
I’m trying to create a text box component that can be added to a BI Viewer and easily updated by end users directly in OnePlace. The goal is for the users to be able to edit the text without having to modify anything in the underlying application or configuration. Here’s what I’ve attempted so far: Created a string parameter intended to store the text. Tried adding a dashboard parameter control (such as a text box) linked to that parameter. Embedded it into the BI Viewer view. However, this approach didn’t yield the desired result. The text either doesn’t update as expected, or isn’t visible to the user in the way I intended. Has anyone successfully implemented a user-editable text box that can be directly manipulated by end users in OnePlace and reflected in a BI Viewer component? Any guidance, best practices, or examples would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.20Views0likes0Comments
