Save Offline Copy
I'm getting the below error message regarding location when trying to save a file with multiple XFGetCell formulas offline. I've updated my preferences that an earlier question showed as a solution and refreshed the workbook (again) before attempting to save...but am unable to save the file without the formulas. I've tried directly to my desktop, various folders, where downloads go.... I can't find an acceptable location. Any help would be appreciated.
Version 8 formatting issue with Books/Cube Views produced in Excel?
Just checking to see if anyone else has been experiencing the following issue with Version 8. We are currently testing the upgrade from 7.x to version 8 and have run into a huge formatting issue with our books that are produced to Excel and sent out to management via postal service. The source cube views for a batch use the same column template. We have Excel column width formatting set up for each of the columns (but consistently on each column). When the cube views are run and exported to Excel, the column width is not being recognized in most of the columns. I have tried direct formatting, I have tried with a literal parameter and getting the same results no matter what. I don't see where I can attach the workbook itself but am attaching a screen capture sample . In this case text wrap is set to False and column widths are set to 100. Note the results. Oddly, in like the first book, some of the sheets ARE recognizing the column width. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this and has found a workaround or determined why this is happening.
How to find all cube views used in book definitions
Hi. I'm looking at a way to find all cube views used in book definitions. I was thinking of exporting all xlBook files all at a time via Load/Extract but I cannot find how to do it. Is it possible? Hi, Anyone on Version 8 who's actually tried to use this 'enhancement' feature in Cube Views? We requested this on Ideastream a long time ago with a lot of support. I can see this command is now available in the header format dialog; however, it would appear that the only thing it does is change the header from left justified to center view. There does not seem to be a way to actually 'merge' column headers, despite the fact that it's called "MergeAndCenter". Even the system documentation appears to confirm this behavior. Someone please tell me I'm missing something here and it actually is possible to merge column headers, because we really really wanted this feature. Thanks
Parcel Service Fileshare Folder Path
Hello - I'm using Parcel Service to generate/ship a Book. The book is an Excel export file of a Cube View. Very simple. I can get the Excel file to email properly through Parcel Service. But, I also want to save a copy of the Excel file in the OneStream file system. Does anyone know the syntax for the OS file share path? I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks, Bil
xfdoc.xlsx - XFGETCELL - save as offline
hello we've a excel addin based report (XFGETCELL). this report has macros as well. the data is used for recon process on another server that doesnt have excel addin. Is there a way to run this though DM/ business rule? or can this be automated through onestream spreadsheet and save as offline? i separated macros in different file and tried running this report as xfdoc,xlsx. getting #Logon error on server (calc is automatic, cant change on server) is there a way to save as offline? i tried running through DM but facing #Logon issue. the server where we want to run recon does not have excel addin and we dont want to install. any ideas, please suggest. in longer run, cube view might be a better option but is there a better way to achieve this? pls suggest. thank you in advance
