Inserting a chart into a Word xfdoc error: Entries cannot be opened multiple times in Update mode.
hi, I am trying to insert a chart into a Word xfdoc from the Word Insert menu and completing some data points, which I can do. However, when I try to run/process the document out of OneStream it gives me an error message:Entries cannot be opened multiple times in Update mode. Is a native Word chart not allowed? The data is not linked to OneStream (although that would be ideal). Is there any Event handler to work around this? I'm in 8.0, not sure if this is available in Narrative Reporting in 8.2+? thanks, Greg66Views0likes0CommentsNarrative Reporting
I am trying to move a Narrative Report book from one environment to another and am struggling to do so without having to re-build it. Is there anyone on this Community that has managed to do so successfully? Would truly appreciate the steps you followed to get this done successfully.116Views0likes1Commentbook with PPT file donot run

Hello, Does anyone have experience linking a dashboard chart built with BI Viewer in Powerpoint via alt text? I have built out an extensible document in PowerPoint that extracts a set at dashboards out of OneStream. I have charts displaying data for the current month, and previous two months. I am having trouble using a variable to label the two previous months. For the current month, I just use the |CVTimeDesc| variables and it labels it correctly. But I can't seem to find a variable that works to display the prior period months description. Something along the lines of |CVTimePriorDesc|... Any help appreciated. We have built a set of dashboards for our client within OneStream and the requirement is to be able to export and distribute these dashboards outside of OneStream. We have previously gone the route of exporting to PowerPoint, however, we are struggling with the cube views replacing the images, formatting, not bringing over any editable text, etc.. overall, a lot of work for a poor result. Are there any other options to exporting dashboards? Ideal result is to get as close as we can to what we are seeing in the OneStream dashboards and just extract them. Any advice is greatly appreciated!1.3KViews0likes4Comments
