XFJ - Excel Import Journal Template
I uploaded the XFJ Excel template with the "Balanced by Entity" Journal Type. However, OneStream set back the Journal Type as "Balanced" instead of "Balanced by Entity after I imported the template . "Is "Balanced By Entity" not the correct selection? Thanks,

Security Access Error. Unable to create journal.
Hi all have you ever seen this error message? I am logged as administrator but when I try to import the journal from excel I receive this error message. "Security Access Error. Unable to create journal. Company X 2021M12_Investment Template Top_ACTUAL_TEST." Thanks for help, Marcello

Force user to use a journal template
Hi all is there a way to disable the "Create Journal" button (red) and keep the ""Create Journal using selected template" button (green) I would like to force users to select specific templates where the entity selection is limited to theE#Root.WFProfileEntities So that users cannot make mistakes posting a journal on an entity which is not part of the workflow. How do you manage recurring journal entries?
Hello! How do you manage recurring journal entries? We go through a manual process where we pull the JE data out of OS, manipulate the information into a text file and load the text file to create whatever JEs are needed the next period but it's not an easy or straightforward process. Please let me know if you have a better way! Thanks, Nicole

How to load Journal template in excel
I created Journal template in excel and tried loading via workflow. when I select it through ,it goes through but nothing happens, meaning it does not get data populated to post it. It does not give any error either. attached is journal Thanks,

Journal Template Frequency
I have a question regarding Journal Templates. We have a template that was setup with the frequency "All Time Periods." Does that mean this journal will post every month? I think the setting should have been "Monthly." If I change that setting in the Journal Template, how does it impact historical data? Will it unpost prior close periods? Or will it keep the prior periods as is, but will stop the journal from posting in future periods?

Journal posting with alternative input currency flows
Dear community, I'm creating a very simple balanced journal template, with the exception that this journal will have to use "alternative input currency" flows. For that, I have set 2 flows like below : Input_USD : Input_CNY (chinese yuan): My journal is of "balanced" type. However, I have input done in both USD and Chinese Yuan and the Journal doesn't seem to care ? In the exemple below, I have 20 USD booked, and 20 CNY booked, and OneStream considers the journal posting as "balanced" : Am I missing something ? Regards,

FX translation for Reporting Currency
Hi All, Need assistance in posting a journal to eliminate the difference. I tried posting a journal using reporting currency (ZAR) to eliminate the difference, but it's not going through. The translation should be periodic. Anyone have any idea what I'm missing?
