8.4 Dashboards for phone, tablet, web and windows App

Hi All

We are using 8.4 at our new client and have been tasked with creating dashboards suitable to view on a tablet, web, windows app and phone.

We have created different dashboards for each of the different devices, i.e. tablet, phone, windows app and web but have noted that for example, the phone dashboard formatting shows differently on each phone, depending on the phone screen size and it does not auto adjust to fit the screen size of every phone.

Same as for tablet, web and windowsApp. Where can I get settings for auto fit on each device so that it shows uniformly on each device regardless of screen size?

Are you using relative sizes (i.e. * , 2* etc ) for your grids and things? Which components are you using? Can you post any example and screenshot of configuration and results?

Hi Jack, I tried using relative sizes to the best of my ability and the first screenshot is how the dashboard shows on the phone (At least now this formatting is uniform across all phones regardless of screen size). However, I am not 100% happy with the results because users will have to scroll to see the bottom buttons. The second screenshot shows how the dashboard should look, with bottom buttons. The third screenshot shows the settings for the phone dashboard

That would be a job for the Docking layout, but it doesn't work in the browser yet... 😣

This said, your approach is sound and should work; you could try maybe with 0.5* to try and "pull" that row as much as you can. It could also be that the component in row 2 is "pushing" down a bit too much. Or it could be something we should improve in the layouting logic, so maybe get in touch with support...
