Question: Is there a report to show differences between datasets after a reload?

Answer

• There is an archive data function to manage late changes.
• Typically it is not something that would be used as part of every load since the previously imported data is being snapshotted and stored (essentially a back up of relevant stage and the audit information) so could impact ongoing performance.
• The below provides further information on the preserve and restore imported data functionality.
• Alternatives:
• Data could be loaded to a second member but remember that results in duplicate data being loaded to cube
• A copy of the import data could be kept in stage (perhaps using an extensibility rule to copy the previously imported data into another workflow) and use a data adapter to write a report that compares the two sets of imported data.
