This is a really great summary of the two tools! Thank you. I would like to add one thing that we've run into recently. In both environments, there is the option to "Save Offline Copy".
We have encountered numerous issues with this feature, especially for very large, complex workbooks. Without getting too far into the weeds on this, we have found, in many cases, much better success (fewer problems) running this feature from within the Spreadsheet tool. If it wasn't for the fact that the tool doesn't recognize .XLSB or .XLSM files, this would actually be our 'go-to' for that save feature.
