Course Announcement: OneStream Architecture: Designing Applications Update
1 MIN READ Course Description: This course focuses on designing OneStream applications that remain performant as data volumes and reporting requirements increase. You will explore how application structure, dimensionality, and data organization influence calculation speed, storage behavior, and reporting performance. Practical design approaches are introduced to help reduce unnecessary workload, streamline processing, and support reliable, scalable reporting. Delivery Types: On-Demand (OD) Duration: 9 hours Availability: Customers, Partners, and Employees Course Link: OneStream Architecture: Designing Applications30Views0likes0CommentsPrivate Training, Your Project Milestone
3 MIN READ Every implementation reaches the same moment. Progress slows. Questions start stacking up. Decisions feel heavier. And someone finally says: “We probably need training.” The difference isn’t whether training happens—it’s how. When Training Becomes a Checkbox For some teams, training is treated as something to fit in. A public class someone can attend if their calendar allows. A few on-demand courses shared across the team. Learning that happens individually, at different times, in different ways. Training technically happens. But the project doesn’t really move forward because of it. Because it’s disconnected from the work: Individuals learn in isolation Knowledge develops unevenly Key decisions still happen later—without shared context When Training Becomes a Turning Point For other teams, that same moment leads to a different decision. They pause. They get intentional. They plan training as part of the project—not around it. They treat training as a milestone. And that changes what happens next. Training as a Project Milestone When training is planned intentionally, it’s tied to a specific moment in the implementation—not treated as a side activity. Private training works best when it aligns to key transition points, such as: Before design workshops begin Before hands-on build starts Before ownership shifts from partner to customer At that point, the question shifts from: “Who can attend training?” to: “What does our team need to be able to do next?” That’s when training becomes a readiness checkpoint—not just education. Why Private Training Works During Implementation During an active implementation, teams aren’t learning in isolation. They’re: Designing workflows together Making architectural decisions together Owning outcomes together Success depends on shared understanding—not just individual progress. Public and on-demand training absolutely have their place: Individual skill building Flexible scheduling Ongoing learning outside project timelines But implementation success requires alignment in the moment. Private training brings the team together: Same time Same content Same context Instead of catching up later, the team moves forward together. What Changes When Teams Train Together When training is aligned to the project, the impact is immediate. Decisions happen faster. Assumptions surface earlier. Rework is reduced. Teams that plan private training as a milestone move more confidently through implementation phases—and avoid the slowdowns that typically appear later. And they leave with: A shared language across roles Alignment on design decisions and best practices Confidence to move forward without re-explaining or re-teaching Immediate momentum inside their live implementation “As a trainer, I get to watch learners become more technically proficient in real time, and with that proficiency comes confidence and excitement. When users and administrators see OneStream easily complete processes that used to be manual or handled through workarounds, their thinking shifts from How do I do this? to What else can we do? This enthusiasm creates day-to-day champions who share wins, create better approaches, and bring others along, building the momentum that drives adoption and growth. It’s a chain reaction: proficiency builds confidence, confidence builds curiosity, and curiosity builds enthusiastic champions who keep expanding what’s possible.” - OneStream Instructor The project doesn’t pause for training. Training pushes the project forward. From “We Need Training” to “We Planned This” The most successful teams don’t wait for friction to appear. They plan training intentionally—as part of their implementation strategy. They know when training is meant to: Reduce risk Create alignment Unlock the next phase of work And they choose the format that supports the team—not just the calendar. Ready to Plan Private Training for Your Team? The earlier you plan training, the more it accelerates everything that follows. Private training is most effective when it’s aligned to your implementation phase and project goals. To get started: Create a case in ServiceNow to request private training, or Reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to discuss timing and options They’ll help you determine the right approach based on where your project is today—and what your team needs to be ready for next.26Views0likes0CommentsThe OneStream Podcast: Solution Series - CPM Express Successes with Taysols is now available!
