In some cases the API and BRApi have similar functions (e.g., Brapi.ErrorLog.LogMessage vs api.LogMessage). Is there a recommendation when to use which function?
Answer
You will find that we have many API functions that have a BRAPI equivalent. There is not a recommendation regarding which version of the function to use if you have access to both functions. However, keep in mind that the API functions are only available in Finance, Parser, Conditional, Derivative and Connector Rules. Therefore, if you are in another type of business rule such as an XFBR string, then the BRAPI functions become extremely useful as you do not have access to the API’s in an XFBR string rule.
