Report Books - Dashboard Chart
Hello, I have an automated report book and would like to expand the functionality to include charts (in addition to the existing cubeviews). I was able to add the chart, but I'm struggling with trying to control the formatting. I would like to modify the header and have the chart fill the page (too much white space). See below. Thanks! Is there a way to format the chart output, in particular I would like to enlarge the chart image and have it stretched across the page?CAIGuySeanF2 days agoContributor5Views0likes0CommentsGuided reporting
Dear all, Could you please advise why user doesn't see Guided reporting section in Dashboards (OnePlace). As administrator I see Guided reporting and user has been included in security group that can view reporting group and reports inside of this group in Guided reporting section.Irina3 days agoContributor8Views0likes0CommentsSave Offline Copy
I'm getting the below error message regarding location when trying to save a file with multiple XFGetCell formulas offline. I've updated my preferences that an earlier question showed as a solution and refreshed the workbook (again) before attempting to save...but am unable to save the file without the formulas. I've tried directly to my desktop, various folders, where downloads go.... I can't find an acceptable location. Any help would be appreciated.amwitmer3 days agoNew Contributor131Views0likes4CommentsExcel XF() functions - problems with Save Offline Copy feature
All, Does anyone out there have users with massive (thousands of rows and dozens of columns) XFGetCell() workbooks that are seeing issues with the "Save Offline Copy" feature? (and yes, I know.. they should not be creating these massive workbooks in the first place - that's not what XF() is meant to do) Here are the symptoms we're having: Regardless of what the seconds setting is (and I'm not even sure this setting applies to anything other than CV connections or quick views) and for some of these users, it's set to the max allowable, the 'save offline copy' often just spins and spins and never completes or eventually the user just has to 'kill' Excel and try again. Happens at different times so no idea what server activity might be going on at the same time. Save Offline Copy appears to finish but the saved file now contains "#REFRESH" rather than the values Unable to keep Formatting (this has to be set to False) - loses things like superscript or subscript fonts. I have a feeling this has something to do with the built-in behavior with this addin that it wants to refresh everything before saving the offline copy and I suspect it doesn't get to finish that before the save starts to run, but I have no proof of this. Coupled with this is the fact that many of the cells containing the XF() function ALSO contain vlookup() functions which doesn't help I'm sure. We have raised a ticket with OS but it's hard to provide them with a replicated sample given the size of these workbooks. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this and what workarounds or resolutions you may have discovered and might be willing to share. Much thanks in advance for any tips.Solvedkmd3 days agoContributor II4.2KViews1like4CommentsUsing "ColumnDisplayType" property in grid view component
The ColumnDisplayType property has two options: WorkflowStatusImage & OneStreamClientImage. I am looking to leverage one of the two options, but have found minimal documentation on them. What I have found, is that the WorkFlowStatusImage is related to values in a Status column like "2" equals a green circle, "10" equals a red circle. This uses the XFClientImageTypes library. I am not sure how to leverage this library and populate my SQL table/grid view with one of these status images/icons. Any assistance is appreciated. I have the status column value equal to "2" or "10" but I can't get the icon/image to display on my grid view component.DRider3 days agoOneStream Employee32Views0likes1CommentCube View sum of columns sums only values from column with first child
Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with a cube view. I have a column whose parameter is E#GroupEntity.Base. When launched, it shows one base entity per column, with its respective data. I need to place a new column at the end of the cube view that sums the values of all the base entities. I tried to use the CVC function to sum columns, but it only sums the data of first base entity, ignoring all the other base entities. Is there a way to achieve what I need, and if yes, could someone please help me? Thank you!fc3 days agoContributor21Views0likes2CommentsFiltering account by UD's
I am creating an alternate roll-up of our accounts for some specific reporting which requires that certain accounts only return data for specific departments. What is the best way to do this? I tried using a dynamic calculation to create new accounts that filtered on UD2 but it did not return any data. The formula that I used was Return api.Data.GetDataCell ("A#61550:U2#Dept48")Solvedjulia24 days agoNew Contributor III39Views0likes3CommentsBulk edit dashboard frames
Is there a method or tool that can edit dashboard frames (names) in bulk? I would like to create a base dashboard template that would include headers, content, and footers. This would be copied & pasted to separate maintenance units and then customized for each dashboard. Is there a way to bulk-edit dashboard frames, or assist with copying & pasting dashboards without renaming them one by one? The only way I know of now is extracting to an XML and changing the text through notepad.DRider4 days agoOneStream Employee25Views0likes2CommentsCannot save same value from parameter twice in SQL Table Editor
I have created an SQL table editor component for one of my applications. One of the columns in the SQL table can be updated by the user, and is tied to a parameter that is used as a dropdown by the users. However, if the user tries to update that column in two rows to the same value only the first row will be saved, but if the two rows are populated with different values from the linked parameter the table is saved just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone discovered a workaround? Thanks, Tom RSolvedTom_R4 days agoNew Contributor III42Views0likes3CommentsExcel scales
