Display Parameters of Embedded Cube View
OneStream Community, I am having difficulty applying visible parameters after embedding a Cube View in Excel. When I embed the Cube View and select "Use Display Value" the parameters appear but the parameter member list drop down is misaligned to the applicable parameter. Additionally, when the Cube View connection is removed and re-embedded without selecting "Use Display Value" on refresh the cube view shows an object reference error, but then after selecting ok the cube view will render with no issue. Has anyone come across this?
Quickview Template Formatting Error
I have created a quick view template file, but each time I launch it, the font gets changed to a light gray. This obviously makes it difficult to see and I need to reformat it afterwards. Here is a sample: My QV has "preserve excel formatting" enabled, so I am uncertain what is causing a formatting override. I have tried different primary styles, but it does not stop the format from overriding after closing and reloading the spreadsheet. We just upgraded from 8.4 to 9.0, and almost certain before we could email a spreadsheet with XF functions and immediately refresh the spreadsheet with button in the ribbon when already logged in. Now the Refresh Sheet button is grayed out, and now you have to "save as" the spreadsheet then refresh because the spreadsheet is in "read only" mode. I'm trying to decide if it changed with the upgrade, or if one of the Preferences settings affect this, or if we are just not remembering correctly. Any ideas or are we just wrong?
Quick Views in excel add-in disappearing
Has anyone ever come accross and issue where you've built out a quick view in excel to either faciliate reporting or to input values into a planning scenario and you open the workbook to refresh the quick views and they are all #refresh with the links broken? The quickview POV is greyed out as if its no longer there. I've tried refreshing the page, workbook/closed excel and restarted... Any solutions or troubleshooting would be appreciated!!!!
Narrative Reporting Issue
Hello! Has someone tried Narrative reporting in 9.1 version? I am currently experiencing issues: 1.- Inserting charts/Advanced Charts / Reports if someone could insert an exaple on how they have done it. 2.- I cannot vie the artifacts and acces them, this message keeps popping up (and the names are fine) Thank you so much for the help!!
get partner currency in a cube view or FX formula?
hi all, good day; we are using plug accounts and IC matching accounts property, we see the IC matching report but I would like to know if it's possible to get the partner currency in a cube view or though a fx formula in Excel? Good afternoon, I was wondering if anyone has had the issue of In-Sheet Action Buttons turning grey and not working within the excel add in. The environment is 8.5.1, using the 64 bit version of excel, and has the updated excel add in. When using the in sheet actions within the spreadsheet tool, there are no issues with the Buttons and the DM steps run as expected. When opening up in Excel, the first button is greyed out and does not initiate any tasks, while the green button still works. If anyone has any resolutions, I would appreciate it. Hi, We are transitioning over to OneStream version 9.0.1. As part of the transition, we are running validations on the data we have copied over from our previous environments. We are running reports like quickviews & XFGETCELLs to retrieve data. However, after clicking on Refresh Sheet/Workbook, we are prompted with the error message: Microsoft excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action Does anyone have a solution to this resolve this issue? This is holding us back with our validations, ultimately affecting our go-live date if this issue persists. We would not feel confident going live if this Microsoft Excel error continues to impact our user base from running their reports. For additional context: Microsoft Excel is 64-bit version Excel Add-in version 9.0.1 is installed. Tested on multiple reports along with recreating reports Tested with multiple users/devices
