Group Columns/Excel Outline in Columns on Cube Views
Hello: Has anyone had any success with grouping columns in a cube view in a report linked to excel, or grouping them as they export? Of course in the data explorer version you can use the tree function and toggle the row expansion mode to get the intended effect, and in rows you have the excel outline settings you can play with. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to manage this using settings. And obviously if you format the cube view when linked them refreshed the column grouping goes away. Interested to hear and thanks!Solved9.8KViews0likes17CommentsRetrieve Parent property
SOURCE: ONESTREAM CHAMPIONS Hi All, I am trying to find a way to create a report that shows the Entity and the Parent in a column next to it. I tried to do this by using the functions =XFGetMemberProperty() and =XFGetRelationshipProperty(), both returns an error when I try. =XFGetRelationshipProperty(“Entity”,"",B15,“Parent”,"","") returns “#ERROR:Parent” =XFGetRelationshipProperty(“Entity”,B16,"",“Parent”,"","") returns “#ERROR:Member Name” =XFGetRelationshipProperty(“Entity”,B17,"",“Parent”,“ACTUAL”,“2021M1”) returns “#ERROR:Member Name” =XFGetRelationshipProperty(“Entity”,B4,B5,“Parent”,"","") returns “#ERROR:Parent” =XFGetMemberProperty(“Entity”,B13,“Parent”,“Finance”,“Actual”,“2021M1”) returns “#ERROR:Finance” =XFGetMemberProperty(“Entity”,B14,“Parent”,"",“Actual”,“2021M1”) returns “#ERROR:Parent” =XFGetMemberProperty(“Entity”,B14,“Parent”,"",“Actual”,“2021M1”) returns “#ERROR:Parent” =XFGetMemberProperty(“Entity”,B11,“Parent”,"","",“2021M1”) returns “#ERROR:Parent” =XFGetMemberProperty(“Entity”,B12,“Parent”,"","","") returns “#ERROR:Parent” as a reference, I tried the same function on “currency” and that works. =XFGetMemberProperty(“Entity”,B21,“Currency”,"","","") returns “EUR” I am assuming that the complexity lies in the fact that the parent could vary in time (?) . I hope some body can help on this thanks. Phil8.7KViews0likes6CommentsExtract Metadata to Excel
HI All Does anyone know a way to extract a given Hierarchy to Excel broken out by columns for each layer ie a parent in one and children in the other. Using HFM in the past, I recall being able to extract the different hierarchies to Excel but thus far havent found a nice way to do this in OS. Of course I can pull the hierarchies into a cube view and export to exel which does have some visual indentation but its all in one column. Appreciate any ideas! Thanks Tahir7.9KViews0likes10CommentsQuick View no longer recognized
I had multiple, fully functioning quick views in my excel file. Once I saved my excel file and reopened, OneStream no longer recognizes two of the quick views. The name manager in excel still has the values associated but OneStream is not recognizing the ranges. Has anyone else had trouble with this? Is there a way to quickly restore a complex cube view without starting from scratch? Thanks, Sean7.2KViews3likes20CommentsExcel Add In Buttons
We have made the latest upgrade to 7.2.1. When I use the Excel Add and use the keep and delete buttons it suppresses all data in that field opposed to only keeping or removing the items that I selected. Anyone else have this issue. The other members of the team don't have this issue and we have the same settings in place.Solved6.7KViews0likes11CommentsQuick view is blank
Hi. I have created a new Quick view report for the first time. I've set the POV parameters, the column dimension is Time and the row dimension is account. The report is not showing any values. I've drilled down to the base accounts. Still nil. Any idea why this might be?6.6KViews0likes14Comments
