Inconsistent File Opening from Dashboard → File Explorer (Windows Client)
Hi everyone, I’m hoping to check if anyone has experienced something similar. We have a dashboard that directs users to folders in File Explorer. The navigation itself works as expected and correctly opens the folder location. However, users are experiencing inconsistent behavior when trying to open files from there — sometimes the files open normally, and other times nothing happens (no error message). If users navigate directly through File Explorer and open the same file, it works without any issues. This is happening in the OneStream Windows desktop application (not browser), and permissions don’t appear to be the issue since access works normally outside the dashboard. Has anyone encountered similar behavior when launching files from a dashboard? If so, was this a known issue or did you find an effective workaround? Hello everyone, I’m looking for feedback on the pros and cons of using a single Actual scenario across two cubes (e.g., Consolidation and FP&A) versus defining separate scenarios for each cube. For example: Option 1 (shared): Consolidation Cube : Actual (Scenario Type = Actual) FP&A Cube : Actual (Scenario Type = Actual) Option 2 (separate): Consolidation Cube : Actual (Scenario Type = Actual) FP&A Cube : Monthly (Scenario Type = Control) From your experience, how do these approaches compare in terms of data governance, maintenance, performance, flexibility for planning/reporting, and potential risks (e.g., unintended impacts between cubes)? Upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2
Hi, I would like to know if any major changes need to be carried over from 9.1 to 9.2 version upgrade. As we had some changes performed when we moved from 8.5.1 version to 9.1.0: Winscp to SSH.net Marketplace solutions to be upgraded to latest versions also Navigation center replaced applications reports, security audit reports. so, we had to remove the existing AR, SAR solutions. We had .vb in the extension wherever the xfbr has been referenced that extensions were no longer supported in 9 version. Thanks in Advance!
Pivot Grid Modern Browser Experience allow additional default fields
Our team would like an enhancement to the Web version of the client (Version 9.0.0) as the Modern Browser Experience does not allow us to use the default pivot grid views we created. The default pivot grid views we created work great in the Desktop version, but they do not work for our Browser version because we exceed the number of allowed default fields. This enhancement would allow our users to save time with the ability to use default views, instead of needing to add in the fields manually each time.
Automated User Provisioning: Best approach to sync Users & Security Groups?
Hi everyone, We need to automate user creation and security group assignments in OneStream using data from an external Identity system. I have two main questions: Is it feasible to fully automate this without manual intervention? What is the best way to implement it simply (avoiding heavy middleware)? We are considering two solutions: Just-in-Time (JIT) via OIS, and SCIM. Does anyone know how we can set these up? What is the recommended "standard" approach for this? Thanks for your help! Madiha
