Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish đ
From May 1st, my role in OneStream will change significantly (for the better!); unfortunately, this means I will step down as Community Moderator. Over the last 20 months or so it's been a lot of fun, interacting with all of you on forums while trying to move OneCommunity forward in a few different ways. So fun, in fact, that I don't know if I will be able to restrain myself from posting anyway đ (as an ordinary onestreamer from now on, of course). The good news is that the community is large enough, nowadays, that on most days I already have nothing to do. There are plans in place to guarantee continuity for the behind-the-scenes tasks (handling abuse alerts, ensuring posts are filed on the right boards, etc), while a new moderator (or team of moderators) is appointed. akloepfer will always be around anyway, making things work quietly in the shadows. I will be at Splash next month, happy to talk about OneCommunity as well as anything else - except hockey, I really don't know anything about that. All the best, Jack1.5KViews21likes2CommentsUpcoming Upgrade for the OneStream Community

The Community upgrade is now live! Our team has put together this blog to help you more quickly understand changes, enhancements and new features! Please note this post is not meant to be all encompassing and we recommend checking out our Frequently Asked Questions page in addition to this blog. So now, to the changes! WHEN IT COMES TO POSTING: First things first, how do you start a new thread? Navigate to the forum board that you wish to start a new topic inside of. For example, at the top navigation, select 'Forums' and click the drop down to select the forum board you wish to post in. Exciting news! The OneStream Community is now the home of QuickTips. Previously, QuickTips were only available for our Navigator Passport Subscribers, but they are now available for all our OneStream Community members to view freely. Located inside the Resources navigation menu, QuickTips are short videos that are designed to help users understand a specific, technical topic. For example, there are QuickTips videos explaining how to write a forms event handler rule, export data between cubes, create a custom time dimension, several BI Viewer topics, and more. With this launch on the OneStream Community, we have released three QuickTips videos, and plan to continuously roll out all the remaining assets in the QuickTips library through the rest of the year and into early 2026. New QuickTips will also be released directly onto the OneStream Community going forward. The complete QuickTips library may continue to be found on OneStream Navigator for Navigator Passport Subscribers. Please take a minute to check out this new feature of the Community and let us know what you think!78Views4likes0CommentsComing Soon: IdeaStream Revamp
Greetings OneStream Community! As we continue to make updates across our Community, we decided it was time to take a look and freshen up IdeaStream. While we have already planned some changes which we'll outline below, we'd also like to gather your thoughts, opinions, and impressions of IdeaStream currently. Please take this IdeaStream Survey to help us shape the future of IdeaStream. In the meantime, we do have some exciting upcoming changes to the IdeaStream site management. Please read on to see what we'll be working on over the next couple months! Improved Moderation First, we are exploring ways to enhance your experience and our engagement with your ideas in IdeaStream. In the revamp, we will have dedicated moderators reviewing the ideas and facilitating product review as ideas gain momentum. This means each idea will see dedicated moderation to help enhance your submission process, which will include an initial review to ensure completeness (a request for more information if required) and relevant tagging on new ideas. All ideas will be moderated within 3 business days of posting and will either result in your Idea being updated from âNewâ to âGathering Interestâ OR a moderator will request additional information on your Idea using the âNeeds Infoâ status. This is meant to give ideas the best chance possible for engagement in the Community and clarity for our Product Owners reviewing all your great submissions. Finally, we are updating the available tags and categories to better serve the ideas that are being created, and we will continue to update tags on a more frequent cadence in the future. IdeaStream Reporting The reporting on the page is also a focus for continuous improvement. We are reimagining our ranking lists to give you real-time insight into whatâs new and whatâs trending on the Community Ideas page. If you have suggestions for reporting formats or topics, please let us know and we will continue to add to the page! Audit & Archiving We are working to make the number of ideas more manageable for you. We know there is a lot to sift through currently so weâre doing a little housekeeping on the site. Over the next few weeks, aged ideas with low engagement will be closed under the following criteria: Ideas posted before 2025 with fewer than 5 votes - OR - There is a duplicate idea created in IdeaStream We'll continue to update IdeaStream articles including Frequently Asked Questions, the About IdeaStream article, and tips for a successful post in the Submission Guidelines as we implement these changes. Thank you for your ongoing engagement with OneStream, and all the great Ideas posted so far! Provide Your Feedback Weâd like to hear your ideas on how to make the process clearer, the interaction more effective, and most importantly to give you meaningful engagement with our Community and product teams. If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, opinions, and impressions of IdeaStream, please take the IdeaStream Survey You may also reach out to ProductGrowth@onestreamsoftware.com with âIdeaStream Thoughtsâ in the subject line.187Views3likes0CommentsPlatform Upgrade COMPLETE!

It's bittersweet as we say goodbye to our fabulous moderator JackLacava! While we're incredibly happy for him and his new role, he'll be sorely missed. We are immensely grateful for his monumental contributions to our community during his tenure as Moderator. We wish him all the best in his future endeavor and will miss Jack's cheeky blog posts, to be sure!375Views2likes0CommentsLatest IdeaStream Updates
Hello OneStream Community! We have some updates to share as we continue to improve the IdeaStream portal: IdeaStream Cleanup As indicated in a previous post, we have completed our first wave of Idea cleanup on the IdeaStream Community page! In this wave, aged ideas posted before 2025 with fewer than 5 votes have been removed from the Community. This periodic review and subsequent rationalization will ensure our full idea set remains current and prioritizes engagement with your ideas. We will continue to keep you updated on periodic evaluation and closure of Ideas on IdeaStream. IdeaStream Groups Additionally, weâve added two new groups to represent our ongoing innovation at OneStream! You will now see Genesis and Connectors as additional groups through which you can share relevant ideas and suggestions. Please select Genesis as a group with relevant tags to share your ideas, suggestions, or enhancement requests related to objects and additional functionality in Genesis. Similarly, please use Connectors to share observations on existing data connector functionality to data sources or targets, or suggestions on other source or target systems to consider for future products. Idea Tagging Finally, we have updated the tags that are available in each of the Idea groups representing Product areas on IdeaStream. These will continue to evolve as we create new innovations, offerings, and focus areas across the platform. There will be additional refinement of the groups and tags on IdeaStream based on your feedback, which we will describe in a future post. We are currently evaluating the entire Idea submission workflow and continue to make the portal easier to use, search, and collaborate with your peers. Whatâs Next in IdeaStream We are preparing for even more enhancement of the IdeaStream experience going forward. Next areas of focus are the actual Idea intake process, and whether it would be easier to have a single area for new idea creation vs. the current setup by Product domain area. Also, we are continuing to enhance the main page design so that search, browsing, and reporting continue to become easier. This evolution is ongoing and we welcome your continued engagement along the way! As always, please keep your ideas coming via the portal and reach out to productgrowth@onestream.com with any questions or suggestions on IdeaStream.30Views1like0Comments
