3 MIN READ In OneStream, dashboards are where data becomes actionable insight. Whether supporting executives, enabling administrators, or guiding end users through intuitive landing pages, effective dashboard design is a critical capability for any OneStream professional. For those working with cube data, dashboard components, or application navigation, the OneStream Essentials: Building Dashboards course is designed to help you move faster—and build with confidence. Why Building Dashboards in OneStream Matters Dashboards sit at the intersection of reporting, usability, and performance management. When designed effectively, they enable users to quickly analyze information, navigate applications, and make informed decisions. When not, they create confusion, reduce trust, and increase maintenance effort. In practice, OneStream dashboard builders are responsible for: Creating executive dashboards that highlight key financial and operational metrics Maintaining administrator dashboards that support application performance and governance Designing landing pages that guide users to the right content and workflows Troubleshooting and evolving dashboards as applications and metadata change The challenge is that dashboard development requires more than technical navigation—it demands a clear understanding of structure, data relationships, and deployment best practices. As one instructor explains: “Building dashboards in OneStream isn’t just about visuals—it’s about helping users truly understand their data and make confident decisions. When dashboards are done well, they transform complexity into clarity and empower teams to take action with purpose.” Stephen Roberts, OneStream Authorized Trainer What You’ll Learn in the Building Dashboards Course The Building Dashboards course is a hands-on learning experience built around real OneStream use cases. It is designed for professionals who need to create, enhance, or maintain dashboards within the platform. 3 MIN READ When organizations invest in OneStream, they’re not just adopting a platform — they’re stepping into a new way of working. But unlocking the true value of that investment requires more than features and functionality. It requires people who feel confident, skilled, and empowered to use OneStream to solve real business challenges. That’s why the most successful customers treat learning as a continuous journey, not a checkbox. They use a blend of training modalities — On‑Demand courses, virtual public instructor-led training, and private team training — to build momentum at every stage of adoption. And when you look closely, the magic isn’t in any one modality. It’s in how these learning experiences work together. A Learning Journey That Evolves as You Do Before Implementation: Planting the Foundation Long before the first workflow is built, teams benefit from grounding themselves in fundamentals. On-Demand learning becomes the perfect starting point here — a low‑pressure way for users to explore the basics, learn terminology, understand the interface, and get comfortable with the possibilities OneStream offers. This early familiarity pays huge dividends. It means kickoff meetings run smoother. It means fewer surprises later. And most importantly, it means your team enters implementation with shared language and confidence. During Implementation: Building Real Capability As implementation ramps up, the learning experience shifts from introduction to application. This is where teams often bring in live instruction — through virtual public instructor-led classes or through private training customized to the project. Live training gives users the space to ask questions, collaborate, and practice real scenarios with expert guidance. It accelerates alignment among administrators, power users, and project stakeholders. And when delivered privately, it becomes a focused workshop built around your business, your design choices, and your workflows. Blending public ILT, private ILT, and continued On‑Demand learning creates a rhythm of reinforcement — learn it, apply it, revisit it, deepen it. Go-Live: Turning Readiness into Confidence Go‑live isn’t the finish line — it’s the moment everything becomes real for your users. On‑Demand courses continue to serve as just‑in‑time refreshers for end users, while focused ILT courses help administrators sharpen the skills they’ll rely on daily. Teams often schedule private sessions around go‑live to reinforce workflows, validate processes, and help new users feel supported. This stage isn’t only about knowledge. It’s about confidence. And confidence is built through practice. Continuous Usage: Scaling Skill Across the Organization As your OneStream footprint expands, new goals emerge: onboarding new team members elevating reporting or dashboarding capabilities supporting new modules developing deeper administrator expertise preparing for upgrades or enhancements This is where Passport’s unlimited On‑Demand library becomes your engine for continuous learning. Your team can explore new topics, revisit past ones, and move at their own pace — while live ILT offerings supplement the journey when deeper, guided exploration is needed. The training plan becomes a living system: self‑paced learning for day‑to‑day growth, ILT for breakthroughs, and private sessions when your business is ready to tackle something bigger. Bringing It All Together: A Training Strategy That Works in the Real World Imagine stepping through your OneStream journey with a training program that grows with you: Your new hires start their first week with On‑Demand fundamentals so they’re not walking into the deep end. Your administrators join a virtual public ILT session to learn best practices directly from the experts and from peers in other organizations. Your project team gathers for a private 4‑day workshop that turns theory into hands‑on skill built around your actual design. Your end users return to Passport courses whenever they need a refresher — during month‑end, before auditor questions, or when exploring new reports. Your leadership trusts that your team isn’t just using OneStream — they’re mastering it. This is the story countless customers experience when they blend learning modalities intentionally. Each training type plays a role, but together they form a system that supports onboarding, accelerates adoption, and fuels long‑term success. The result? A confident, capable team. A smoother implementation. A platform that grows with your business. And a stronger return on your OneStream investment year after year. Want to Build Your Team’s Training Plan?
