Adding Gross Profit as a Column in a Bar Graph (BI Viewer)
I was wondering if it's possible to include Gross Profit as a column in a bar graph in BI Viewer. Specifically, I want to calculate Gross Profit as the total Revenue minus Expense accounts and display it as a separate bar in the chart. I've tried using Calculated Fields, but I haven't been able to get the total to appear correctly in the visualization. Has anyone successfully done this in BI Viewer, and if so, what approach did you use? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Excel reports with Macros in Books
I have several excel reports that use macros for sorting the data rows. The macros work when I am in excel and run after I refresh OneStream, however, when running the report in a book and generating to PDF the sorting macros are not running correctly. We have found that different preference settings within the excel add-in help with getting the macro to run in Excel, but I haven't been able to figure out why it's not working in the book. Any help or ideas appreciated!
Pov Error in calculated column while saving text comments in cube view
Dear colleagues, Could you please advise why error Pov occurred in cube view calculated columns (I use formula GetDataCell in member filter in these columns) when I click save button in order to save text comments in column VarianceExplanation (this column contains member V#VarianceExplanation). When I reload this cube view again this error removes, and I also see that text was saved. See below error:
Modifying QuickViews
Does anyone know how to add another row or column level dimension to an existing QuickView? The rebuild button in the Panel doesn't seem to be activating or changing anything. Can you please show me how to do it properly? Also doesn anyone recommend any beginner video tutorials, there doesn't seem to be much online.
Dashboard Tab Layout
Hi OS Community, I’m revisiting our key reporting dashboards and wanted to check if there have been any updates to the tabbed layout functionality. Since our dashboards pull large datasets from BIBlend tables, we’ve used button components as tabs to avoid long load times caused by the tabbed layout preloading all content at once. Has there been any change that allows us to restrict data loading when opening a dashboard, or is our current approach still the best practice? We are using the multiselect tool to gather certain entities for reporting, which will show up in rows in a cube view. We're returning to the cube view the values from the multiselect via an XFBR. When the user chooses the entities, we can't get the resulting members in rows to show as description, only as member name. Anyone know how to return the description in a cube view/report?Hide zero data from a chart
We have a chart in which data will be at 0 for most of the year. Is there a way to tell the chart not to print the remainder of the line if it is 0? We tried to set up a member to return Nothing if the data = 0. It looks like the chart is interpreting Nothing as 0. Is there a way Ii can say if a cell is 0, set it to NoData. And would that make the chart stop showing the lines on 0? As we move through the year the actual number will get bigger and the drop to 0 for the remaining months will look even worse. Can a button control two parameters simultaneously?
I have a button on a dashboard that needs to change the values of two parameters with one click of the button. Is this possible without building an XFBR? The "Bound Parameter" property implies it can only control one. Placing a comma between two parameters in this property does not acknowledge the second parameter.
