Is this a common OneStream approach and, if so, is there additional documentation about this approach?
Answer
- This approach is not generally advocated by OneStream.
- We are aware that many customers request this and require their application be build in this manner.
- However, we would first recommend using relational blending with stage data to give the necessary level of detail in reports.
- This reduces maintenance and avoids unnecessarily increasing the size of the data unit, which will have a detrimental impact on performance.
