I want to create a SQL Select Statement but I need to check whether the table in BI Blend exists first.

I got the error below, which I realize is in the BI Blend Design Guide, but I am not sure how to diagnose the cause of it.

Short of joining to a dimension table to get a member's description, is there a way to configure the blend table build process to use a member's description (alias) instead of the member name?
