Has anyone come up with a clever solution to multi select members via a parameter on a CV?

I need to specify the workflow cube, but when I select U3#Top.base, it is showing the lowest base members of the complete dimension and not the base member of the selected cube dimension.

Is there a better/official way, to use the Name Value pairs suggested in the text, than using string operations to access a Value based on it's Name?
