Database information reports

Hi,
We have daily information loaded into OS database and we want to generate different reports and send them via mail. We thought about using parcel service, so we want to include the reports in a book.

1. What are the options for generating reports from the database? Can this only be done using grid views?
2. Is there any option for displaying a dashboard report in a book?

Hi Sara,

You can use the Report component to generate PDF reports that can be included as part of a book (it is listed as "Add Report" when adding items to your book). You will find lots of examples of these reports as part of the Standard Application Reports (RPTA) solution on the Solution Exchange.

More generally, you can report the data in any way you see fit (BI Viewer, Grid, Pivots, Charts, Reports etc.) - provided you can get the data into a data adaptor, you can use the dashboard components to create whatever you need.
